For cooling equipment, the Net type was developed in the late fifties and has become widespread over a period of time. As time goes by, awareness of sanitation has grown. In the brewing process, material is sterilized by heat treatment during the material treatment process, but material can get contaminated in the subsequent cooling/seed molding process. The importance of washing has then become recognized and a development of equipment with a washing feature has been desired. In response to the needs by the industry, we have pioneered and developed a steel belt type continuous cooling equipment and earned popularity among brewing companies. The punching plate structure on the steel belt prevents material’s clogging unlike the Net type, and washing time has been greatly reduced by the washing equipment.
